Over the past few days I have been thinking alot about how blessed we have been this past year and really all our lives. This past year has been the best year of our lives (right up there with 2008 because we got married) but I am sure as we look back in the years to come on 2009 we will realize that this year changed our lives FOREVER!
Over 2000 years ago our Savior was born who made the blessings we received this year actually possible for us. That peaceful night he was born I believe was one of the most miraculous days on earth and to think that babe born in a stable would one day hang on the cross for all of us marvels me and makes me cry everytime I think about it. How grateful I am for our Savior for his life and for the plan that he set forth for all of us.
How grateful I am that this past year we were able to go to the temple and be sealed together for eternity and know we can enjoy the blessings of the temple in our lives. We also received the greatest and best miracle of our lives when Addison was born. She is a blessing in our lives and how grateful we are to be parents and to be able to raise such a precious daughter of our Heavenly Father.
I love Brad and Addison so much and I am so grateful to know that I can be with them forever. Brad is the best husband and father and I am grateful that he is my eternal companion. I am proud of him and blessed to have him in my life. Addison reminds me on a daily basis that being a mother is the greatest calling a woman could ever have and I am grateful to be her mother.
We have also been blessed with happiness, health, good jobs, the gospel, great family and friends, and the necessities of life.
May each of us reflect on the true meaning of Christmas and the life of our Savior at this time of year and always and reflect back on this year and think about how you have been blessed and what you are grateful for.
Merry Christmas!

Christmas Fun
So this past week was filled with many Christmas activities!!
Her first time seeing Santa Claus and she did great didn't even make a peep while sitting on his lap!

Wearing one of her Christmas shirts from Grandma Loraine!! It says "What Santa doesn't bring me Grandma will."

Going to the ward Christmas party.

We went and saw this amazing light display in Boise. It was well worth the visit since the guys has over 500,000 lights. Truly amazing!!

Opening her first Christmas present from Great Auntie and Uncle Terry. An ornament which was darling.

This was Addison in a stocking that Brad used to have in his single days! I couldn't help but put her in it. She is the best stocking stuffer after all...

Having dinner with great friends! We just love the Jensen's family and had a great time going to their house for dinner.

We just love this time of year and all the fun things to do!

Vacation
Well I don't know if you can really call it a vacation but we did get away this past weekend for overnight. Brad had some business to take care of in Oregon so we went along. Addison was able to enjoy her first night in a motel and of course sleeping in another state.
Here she is in the motel room!

She did really well on the trip and slept the whole way! I had gotten this hat for her for Christmas but decided to let her have it early; because with all her hair it just gets messed up in the car seat so I didn't have to worry with the hat.
There was a snow storm on Saturday morning so while we were getting ready she had to feed herself and she seemed to manage pretty good.

On the way home we stopped to see Brad's Grandma and Grandpa Shaw and Addison got to meet some more Great Grandparents. They instantly fell in love with her and enjoyed the visit.

She was kind of getting fussy when grandpa was holding her so every time she started to cry he would raise her above his head and she could see herself in this mirror and she would instantly stop crying. It was the funniest thing!!

It was fun to get away and to just get to do something as our family.

Bumbo
We got Addison a bumbo seat the other day and she just loves it! Her personality is one where she wants to be wherever you and to be able to see what is happening. She has been holding her head more and more and so the seat always her to see what is going on!!
