A Special Day

Sunday was a very special day for our family because it was Addison's blessing day. It was such a wonderful experience and you could feel the spirit so strong in our home and at church. Brad gave Addison a great blessing and reaffirmed to her how special she truly is and the blessings that can be hers in this life. It was great to see all the worthy priesthood holders in the circle surrounding our little girl during the blessing and to know of all the love that so many people have for her.

Here she is in her blessing dress! She truly did look like the angel that she is...

Our little family

We had a nice lunch afterwards at our house. We appreciate all the family and friends who made the effort to be here for her special day and for every ones love and support.

Brad and I know how blessed we are to be parents and to be able to raise on of the Lord's chosen spirits at this time. We are grateful for the gospel and for the testimonies that we have. We have been extremely blessed this year with many spiritual experiences that have helped our testimonies to grow. Addison is the greatest thing that has happened to us and we love her so very much.

Going to Grandma's

Addison got to go on her first road trip last weekend. Brad had meetings in Southeastern Idaho and so we went along and hung out in Malad.

Here she is in the car getting ready to go. She traveled so good and slept the whole way there and home on Saturday.

She got to meet two of her nieces Maddie and Paige and they loved spending time with her.

She was having a hard time sleeping but she soon found out that the kitchen table with a pillow was pretty comfortable.

At Grandmas house you can pretty much do whatever; including discovering that Grandma always has candy. We start them young in our family to enjoy treats, Addison was able to get in the Halloween candy even though she can't eat it.

We had a great time and it was fun to get away. We got to watch Tyler play football, Brad was able to go hunting, visited with friends and family, and for me it is always nice to go to my mom's house. There is nothing like being able to go home for a few days and it was fun to be able have people see Addison.

Hunting

Yes it is that time of year again, hunting season! Brad has been enjoying the great hunting weather and getting out to shoot a few birds. He has had a couple of good days and some not so good days; I guess that is how hunting goes.

So needless to say the other day Addison and I ventured out with him to see if he could find any birds. We were unsuccessful but Addison did have her first hunting trip. Brad has always said that his daughter will not get into hunting because he wants her to be a girly girl, well I think he might be having a change or heart. Guess we will see in the years to come!

Getting Pumpkins

Since this is Addison's first fall and Halloween we had to go get pumpkins. So yesterday we took her to a little pumpkin patch. The funny thing is that she slept through it all. So I guess you can say it was more for mom and dad than her.

Here she is in her pumpkin outfit getting ready to go.

It was fun and I am sure that she will enjoy it more next year because she will get to pick out her own and this year she was able to amuse mom and dad.
